Saturday
Today, we went to the Huckleberry Festival up near Mt Hood. It was disappointing, but we did get a delicious huckleberry shortcake and a huckleberry shake. After that, we took a hike on the nearby Old Salmon River Trail. Finally, we saw Superbad. I saw it as the current generation’s “Fast Times…”. Bren wasn’t quite that impressed, but liked it.

Storm Photos and Video
The Storm and the Balls concert was good last night. We really like the opening band, Kleveland. Check out the photos here.
For those of you who have never seen Storm and the Balls perform, here is a video clip:

Abba-Gadda-Davida
It’s been a while since I’ve posted music, so here’s one from the beloved Storm. I’m going to see her in concert this weekend.

Code Library
I enhanced my code library application by applying an Ext JS front end to it. The coolest part is the tree on the left. You can drag/drop code and categories to rearrange them and the changes are saved asynchronously to the database via ajax. I’m hoping that it’s user-friendly enough that I’ll start using it as a code sample repository.

Upgrading…
I finally got upgraded to Windows XP at work. I was using Windows 2000 until now. I am currently reinstalling all of my development tools, giving me time to write on my web site (and clean up my desk). My reason for making an “urgent” request for Windows XP is that it has remote desktop capability built in. With this, I can VPN to work and then remote to my desktop. That basically means that I can use my work computer from home.

You Can Text Message Me
I added a tool to the side bar on the right from which you can send a text message to my cell phone. Pretty cool, eh?
