It seems that people using Internet Explorer version 6.0 are missing some of the content on my web site. The left and right columns do not appear. There are 2 options to fix this problem:

1. I can hack the Wordpress theme stylesheets
2. IE6 users can upgrade their web browser

Since option 1 isn’t really an option, here are links to the latest and greatest web browsers (they are free, so you should get one):

Yesterday, a hummingbird flew up to Bren and hovered about 2 feet from her face. It was just looking at her. We think it was thanking us for planting hummingbird-friendly plants.

Bren bought strawberries and made strawberry shortcake.

Sly was especially cute tonight…

After months of looking and waiting, Bren came across a Nintendo Wii yesterday! I guess Nintendo finally caught up with the demand. The last gaming console that I’ve owned was an Intellivision II, back in the 80s. I’ve been waiting for the right system to come along, as I’m not impressed (or good at) the modern genre of games. So far the Wii has not disappointed. We only have Wii Sports, which came bundled, but it will take a while to get tired of that. My favorite game so far is Tennis. The Wii will also help with my diet because it’s interactive.

According to this article, my favorite geek TV show, The IT Crowd, is coming to NBC. The show is about misunderstood IT workers, and is hilarious. It currently only airs in Britain and can also be watched online.

Scenario: Jeffrey won’t be still in class, disrupts other students.

1973: Jeffrey sent to office and given a good paddling by Principal. Sits still in class.

2007: Jeffrey given huge doses of Ritalin. Becomes a zombie. School gets extra money from state because Jeffrey has a disability.

Spring is here and our back yard is blooming. I’ve added some photos to flickr for your viewing pleasure…

The Bachelor Guy has put together a list called “The Dream Case - 24 Great American Craft Beers You Should Be Drinking“. I’ve tried about half of the beers on the list, and they are all good. Unfortunately, it appears that the list makers have never been to Portland, and there are some better brews missing from the list (Bridgeport, Deschutes, Laurelwood, Roots, etc). The best part of the list is the reader comments (”what ever. come to Portland.”).

I don’t know how popular “MPK Adventures” is, as I had never heard of it until now, but the writer used one of my flickr photos for a backdrop in one of his comic frames. I think that’s pretty cool. Below is my photo, and here is the comic (see bottom left frame).
